Jeanie & Josh - Saphire Manor

One of the reasons why Jeanie and Josh selected us to photograph both of their wedding celebrations was to ensure consistency in the work produced at both locations. When we arrived at Saphire Manor in Sharon, MA, Holly and I were immediately drawn to the location's similarity to Gray Gables in Portland, OR. In fact, during the slideshow that we created for the couple to be played during the reception, an employee of the property asked if some of the photos were also taken at Saphire Manor -- even though all the photos were from the Gray Gables wedding. The similarity between the two properties is truly uncanny.

As a wedding photographer, you oftentimes have just one chance to capture the fleeting moment. However, with Jeanie and Josh's wedding, one could argue that we in fact had two chances. For Holly and I, it was incredibly important to document each event as it's own occurrence while at the same time drawing meaningful and complex visual parallels between the two locations.

Jeanie and Josh - thank you for allowing us to be a part of not only one of the most important days of your lives -- but two!!

Forgot to mention that a Super Hero was at the wedding. His super power -- the ability to be the first on the dance floor!

Then when his whole gang showed up to the wedding -- all fun broke loose!
