Bride and Bride-To-Be Soiree

This past Saturday evening, Holly and I invited all of our 2007 couples and all of our 2008 couples for an evening of hors d'oeuvres and wedding talk. It was a chance for our 2007 couples to share their infinite wisdom regarding the wedding planning process with our 2008 couples who are in the rigors of planning their own weddings. While there were lots of wild stories, one was keenly aware of the fact that all of the hard work that goes into planning the big day is well worth all the effort.

Among all of the food that was served, some of the favorite dishes were: the bacon wrapped asparagus with fresh parmesan cheese, sausage stuffed mushrooms, goat cheese quesadillas with avocado and diced peppers, and of course the chocolate truffles. All of this coupled with some nice local wines and pomegranate flavored vodka spritzers made for a truly enjoyable evening.

Oh...and as the evening went on some very serious rounds of Guitar Hero were played. Josh led the way with rocking out on some of the more challenging songs while others gave the guitar playing experience a first chance. Rock on!!

Myra made the most wonderful dessert with a personalized keepsake for all of our 2008 couples. Myra designs and hand crafts incredibly unique hair pieces that are setting a new trend in the wedding industry.

William Nobles - Six Weeks Young

This weekend I had the privilege of photographing Leah and Robert with their new born son William. Over the course of about 3 hours, William was awake, drank a bottle, slept, woke up, had a brief bath, drank a bottle, slept, and awoke again. It reminded me of how I like to spend my day. :) Here are a few of our favorites from the session. We look forward to seeing William next when he is 6 months...
